Swimming year round

The perfect temperature summer or winter, who doesn’t love a good dunk to start or finish the day? With comfortable outdoor seating, mum and dad can put their feet up or even soak in the spa while keeping an eye on the kids, mere splash-distance away.

Trampoline & playground

Entertain the kids for hours and soak up some fresh air underneath the shade of a giant Sequoia tree. Our fully enclosed trampoline is perfect for all ages, while our playground is also a hit for burning off excess energy.

Room service breakfast

Fancy a cooked breakfast delivered directly to your room? We’ve got you. Pancakes, omelette or even a smoothie – available from 7am – 8:30am, Tuesday – Saturday mornings. What a fabulous way to start the day.

Guest laundry

Open from 7am to 9pm daily, our guest laundry features a coin-operated washing machine and dryer. Perfect for freshening up and getting ready for the next adventure, or rotating your only tshirt because you forgot to pack more.

Trout Stream

The crystal clear waters of the Waiowhiro Stream (Ripple’s namesake) runs through the property and is steeped in life and history. Rushing up from the ground a mere 300m away, from Te Puna a Tuhoe (otherwise known as Fairy Springs). A sacred spring once visited by Maori priests seeking good fortune, the stream is home to rainbow trout, mallard ducks and more. Can you spot them?

Secure bike shed

We can keep your bike safely stored away while not in use, so you can rest easy when it’s out of sight. We also have a bike wash station, which means you can keep your two-wheeled whip squeaky clean, to the envy of everyone else in the forest.

Native flora and fauna

See, hear and feel some of New Zealand’s most precious native taonga (treasures) from your accommodation, or go exploring amongst the property’s paths and bridges. Surrounded by a vista of green, you’ll find yourself ensconced in harakeke, ferns, kowhai and rimu trees, while listening to tui, piwakawaka and kereru sing their daily songs.

Secure off-street parking

No need to worry about your vehicle when staying at Ripple. With a dedicated car park right outside your room, you can rest easy knowing your valuables are secure nearby. We also keep it simple with overflow parking available for multiple vehicles.

Reflection seating

Take a walk down the garden path framed by greenery and flowing water to a carved wooden benchseat, perfect for reflecting with a coffee in-hand, reading a book, or simply appreciating the space. If you time it just right, afternoon sun also streams into this little oasis.
